Even the most cautious parent cannot be expected to foresee every eventuality. Children are adventurous and their curiosity can sometimes lead them to accidents, even in a baby-proofed home. Prepare yourself by learning first aid so that you can come to the rescue quickly and confidently in an emergency, if a qualified health professional is not present.
